iFood opens support point for delivery people in Belo Horizonte

In partnership with the Marmitaria BH restaurant, the space has its own parking, microwave, place to eat, access to drinking water, bathroom, sockets, among other facilities that contribute to your delivery routine

Belo Horizonte, April 3, 2023 – iFood, a Brazilian technology company that is a reference in delivery, in partnership with the restaurant Marmitaria BH, held the inauguration of the first support point developed by iFood for delivery drivers in Belo Horizonte (MG) this morning, the 31st. The iFood Support Point is located at Av. Amazonas, 1909, Centro, and can be used by the city's delivery drivers as a place to rest, recharge their cell phones, use the bathroom, as well as having space for meals and microwaves and their own parking, among others. during one delivery and another.

The capital Belo Horizonte has 72 Support Point units in partnerships with restaurants. “iFood understands that it is important to value and offer adequate working conditions for delivery people. We are very happy to provide another Support Point for delivery people in the region”, says Stella Chamarelli, director of delivery experience.

The support points are spaces designed to facilitate the daily lives of delivery people and support the day-to-day travel that is part of the work routine of these people registered on the platform. They have infrastructure for rest, access to bathrooms, drinking water and power outlets to charge cell phones. 

The company has been expanding the number of support points, either independently or through partnerships with public authorities and/or private companies, ensuring spaces that work according to the region and in a complementary way to the ecosystem of points already installed.  

Currently in Brazil, iFood delivery partners have 760 support points available distributed across 14 cities in 10 states. If the delivery person is registered on the platform, it is possible to locate the closest support point to your location using the iFood app.
