São Paulo, December 2021 – iFood takes its Ferris Wheel to Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). During the month of December, the action will complement the Christmas celebrations and the actions of the leading foodtech in Latin America for “Christmas Without Hunger”. From December 4th, the famous iFood Ferris wheel enters the Christmas spirit to give gifts to visitors and residents of the capital of Rio de Janeiro. The action will take place every weekend until the last day of the year. Especially, between December 26th and 31st and January 2nd and 9th, the attraction will be open every day.

Those who participate will also do a good deed for those who need it most. With every cabin ticket purchase, R$10 will be donated to help with combat to hunger through the organization Citizenship Action. In São Paulo, the iFood Ferris Wheel generated a donation that represented more than 11 tons of food. In the space, there will also be the Solidarity Round and cultural presentations selected by Ação da Cidadania.

The Ferris Wheel, produced by the Haute agency, will run from noon until 8pm. The cabins can accommodate up to 4 people for a single fee of R$30, who will enjoy the 20 meters of height in one of the 16 cabins. The ticket to participate in the attraction can be purchased via Sympla online or in person (through QR Codes or at the box office), both with a scheduled time to avoid queues and crowds. The total duration of the Ferris wheel ride is 10 minutes.

iFood will also bring the “graffiti art” initiative to the space with live painting and fun totems to complement the selfie scene marking the @ifoodnewsbrasil on Instagram. Participants will also be able to enjoy the gastronomic area, which will feature partner restaurants.

The event will have all the health protocols indicated by the health authorities and in force during the period of the event. On site, a COVID-19 vaccine passport, digital or physical, with identification document will be required, following RIO decree NÂş49897 of December 1, 2021
