Contributions can be made on the iFood app and will be used for food and basic hygiene items; see how to participate

São Paulo, May 2022 – Due to the heavy rains and landslides that hit the regions of Pernambuco and Alagoas last week, iFood reinforced its action with CUFA (Central Única das Favelas) to collect donations for victims of floods and landslides in northeastern regions. Here's how to donate:

  1. Access the iFood app
  2. Click the donations link in your profile and select CUFA
  3. Press the “I want to donate” button and select the amount
  4. After that, press “send donation”. Ready!

Quarterly balance of iFood donations

In the last quarter of this year, iFood transferred more than R$3.8 million to third sector institutions supported by the donation program available on its app. According to the Transparency Report released by the company, donations focused especially on emergency support for victims of the rains in the country, starting with Bahia and other states in the Northeast, Minas Gerais and Petrópolis (RJ). Among the partner NGOs are: Ação Cidadania, CUFA, Gastromotiva, Gerando Falcões, Orgânico Solidário, SOS Mata Atlântica and Todos pela Educação. The amount raised was used for basic food baskets, lunch boxes, hygiene items, cooking gas and household appliances for victims of the rains, as well as for the restoration of the Atlantic Forest and education contributions.
