EBAC and iFood team up to offer R$1 million in professional training grants for delivery drivers

The project will provide 350 vacancies for iFood delivery partners in courses ranging from design to programming; Registration is open from July 14th

In yet another action in its strategy to contribute to the transformation of society, iFood, a Brazilian technology company, entered into a partnership with EBAC, a leader in online training and professional training courses, to offer 350 scholarships to delivery partners. With an investment of R$1 million, the initiative allows delivery people to choose more than 130 courses from the institution's portfolio, including programs in the areas of design, software, programming, digital, marketing, audiovisual, fashion, games and business.

The interest form will be available from July 14th, on link. To be eligible for the scholarship, the delivery person must be active on the iFood platform for at least three months and not have received another scholarship for education in other programs offered by iFood Decola, a foodtech platform that offers courses for its entire network of partners.

“Delivery people are an essential part of the iFood ecosystem. Initiatives such as Delivery de Vantagens and iFood Decola open up space for us to offer even more advantages to our partners. Through partnerships like this, we are able to provide access to training opportunities that have a high potential for individual transformation and that extend to their families and communities. On our education front, training is offered from basic to more specialized levels”, comments Fabrício Bloisi, president of iFood.

The options range from qualification courses lasting two months to more extensive ones, which can last more than a year. Students do not need to have prior knowledge of the chosen topic and the benefit will have a long-term impact, as the knowledge acquired can boost a new professional career for the delivery partners. Furthermore, as the content is recorded, each student has the autonomy and flexibility to carry out their studies at the most convenient time, allowing them to balance their work schedules.

“The project meets the values that underpin EBAC, designed to offer a teaching model that favors the democratization of access to vocational education”, says Rafael Steinhauser, president of the board and founding partner of EBAC. “We are very pleased to be the partner that will make this qualification possible for iFood couriers.”
