The free event will be broadcast live on the club's YouTube channel. iFood Universe and registrations can be made at event website until noon on Wednesday the 12th.

“Our passion is food, but our talent is technology. It’s the first time we’ve held an event of this size to tell more about iFood’s behind-the-scenes stories, our challenges and successes,” he says. Larissa Gatti, Community Leader at iFood. “The Esquenta W42 is a preview of an even bigger project that we are planning for the second half of 2021. We have a lot of stories to tell and we are happy to share our learnings with other professionals and technology enthusiasts.”

The four-hour event will be divided into four tracks: Back-end, Front-end, Mobile and Data&AI. In other words, from database programming and server optimization, to application design, visual configurations, use of artificial intelligence and data. Within each track, FoodLovers will talk about the challenges in relation to business scale, platform sustainability, the experience of all users and the billions of data that are generated within the app monthly. Furthermore, the opening and closing of Esquenta W42 will be carried out by keynote speakers on the most recent success stories: Clube iFood and iFood Colombia.

Female presence

Although the technology area is still predominantly male, iFood always seeks to work with diverse and balanced teams. That's why 4 of the 10 lectures will be given by women, including case presentations.

“At iFood, more than 40% of our leadership is female and we want this number to grow, as we know the importance of giving the same opportunities to everyone, including in technology, which is a market that still finds it difficult to balance its teams”, he adds Larissa. “We currently have more than 300 women in technology teams and, in addition, we encourage women from all over Brazil to enter the area, with courses in partnership with Cubos Academy and Escola Resilia, for example”.

Esquenta W42 will start at 5pm and the first talk will be by keynote speaker Patricia Novaes, who will address the iFood case internationally. The full agenda is on the website: https://www.w42.ifood.com.br/
