São Paulo, January 2022 — ViaMobilidade, the concessionaire responsible for the operation and maintenance of Line 5-Lilac subway, and iFood, the largest foodtech in Latin America, inaugurated this Thursday, January 20th, a new Support Point for delivery drivers. Located in front of the Eucaliptos metro station, the space will be available from Sunday to Sunday between 10am and 10pm.
The 16 meter space, which is located on Av. Ibirapuera, is designed to be a welcoming place while delivery drivers wait for calls and has a rest area, sockets for charging cell phones, complete bathrooms and a pantry equipped with a microwave, drinking water and a dining environment, as well as niches for backpacks and bicycle racks.
For the launch, ViaMobilidade will offer free haircuts to delivery drivers. Volunteers from Projeto Help will also be on site, with mental health support actions.
This is the first point in partnership with metro stations and seeks to mainly serve the high circulation of delivery people in this region. The initiative complements the ecosystem of support points made available to delivery people by iFood, which can be consulted through the application. There are currently more than 1,300 points across the country, in partnership with restaurants, public spaces, private partnerships and gas stations.
The project was developed by ModecX, an urbantech that uses design with the purpose of helping brands create new spaces for public use, bringing comfort, services and experience so that people can enjoy the city more.
