iFood launches program aimed at restaurants with João Barcelos

São Paulo, December 9, 2021 – How to sell on iFood, manage orders and register promotions? These are some common questions that restaurants have when dealing with the platform. In order to reinforce the connection relationship with these partners and bring quality content to stores and restaurants, iFood co-created the “Contaai, João” program, in partnership with the delivery specialist, João Barcelos – with more than 67 thousand subscribers on YouTube and almost 30 thousand followers on Instagram, the influencer has a long history in the restaurant and delivery sector, becoming an iFood ambassador in 2021. The first episode will air this Thursday (09/12), at 4:30 pm , on the channel Youtube iFood for Partners.

“The objective is to empower restaurants, building a transparent, fluid and agile relationship, so that partners can operate intuitively on iFood. Counting on João on this journey means a lot to us, as he represents iFood’s identity well and we believe that this partnership has everything to grow and succeed”, says Beatriz Pentagna, Head of Marketing and B2B Communication at iFood. The episodes will be weekly – every Thursday, at 4:30 pm, lasting 7 to 10 minutes each.

The topics covered in the program seek to respond to partners' concerns, providing a simple language that helps mainly medium and small-sized stores and restaurants. The survey of topics came from listening to partners, in addition to research based on the most searched topics on Google and YouTube. In the first three episodes, the topics will be covered: order management, how to sell on iFood and how to register.

The program's presenter, João Barcelos, highlights the honor of being at the forefront of the initiative and talks about the importance of restaurant engagement. “The program will generate access to information practically in real time, as updates and news emerge, we will share them with partners. I've been on the other side, as a restaurant and delivery owner, and I know the pain, so I think it will be very important to hear from someone who has already gone through the same steps. We will be careful to cover a lot of practical things too, speaking in the language of the restaurant.”

Benefits Network

This is another of the initiatives that iFood takes to offer a series of benefits to restaurants. An example of this is Vantagens do Chef, a partnership program to offer exclusive discounts and facilities for restaurants registered on the application. There are discounts on various services such as gas, internet, cleaning products, accounting, digital marketing, energy, insurance and others. The program covers the entire base of restaurants on the app throughout Brazil, around 270 thousand.

In addition to Vantagens do Chef, registered establishments already have support and various tools when entering the iFood platform, to assist their operation. There is the Partner Portal where the person responsible for the operation or employees can make changes to business information, such as changing opening hours, updating the menu, consulting sales reports or even creating promotions. The Portal is also an important communication channel and is the platform through which iFood services for restaurants are provided.

The establishments also have the Digital Menu, which allows restaurants to share the menu link or QR-Code in environments such as social networks. The customer can open the menu on their cell phone, choose what to order quickly and easily and the restaurant receives orders through the Order Manager, which they already know from iFood. In addition, there is iFood Shop, a marketplace that brings together the main suppliers of packaging and inputs with differentiated offers for businesses, guaranteeing more than 30 thousand items with discounts.
