iFood takes Ferris wheel to Ibirapuera Park

iFood Space provides Gastronomic experience

The roulette wheel is located in front of the iFood Space, in the Park's events arena, and will promote a new award-winning experience, which will operate by appointment to avoid queues and crowds

Visitors to the Ibirapuera park, in São Paulo, which is currently managed by Urbia Parques, has another leisure option on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The Giant Prized Roulette Wheel iFood arrives at Ibirapuera to promote more interactivity with customers and a fun experience, complementary to the world of food, and which will distribute more than two thousand prizes.

In a reinterpretation of a roulette wheel, the Ferris wheel will have the mechanic “Rodou, Ganhou”. A participant waiting for their turn will press a button, located on a totem at the base of the Ferris wheel, which will activate the roulette wheel and select the booth to be awarded. Every hour, six cabins will be awarded with exclusive iFood kits, various discounts and even some exclusive super prizes throughout the day.

Produced by Haute, the agency responsible for the activation, the Giant Award-Winning Roulette is 20 meters high and has 16 cabins (which accommodate four people). The attraction is located in front of Espaço iFood, in the events arena, an area that offers food services to the public from six restaurants with alternatives ranging from burgers to salads.

The ticket to participate in the attraction costs R$ 30.00 per cabin and can be purchased via Sympla online or in person at Ibirapuera (through QR Codes or at the ticket office), both with a scheduled time to avoid queues and crowds. The total duration of the Ferris wheel ride is 10 minutes, which will remain in the park until October. The “Rodou, Ganhou” mechanic will be available until the end of August.

Covid-19 care

Following all protocols against Covid-19, in addition to scheduling appointments, the Giant Prize Roulette cabins will be sanitized after each disembarkation and the use of a mask is mandatory. Alcohol totems and signs were also installed around the event arena to maintain distancing.

iFood Space in Ibirapuera

The iFood Space is a foodtech initiative to anticipate food park demand. The intention of the gastronomic area is to meet, with a temporary structure, the needs of people who frequent the place, during the Ibirapuera construction period. The initiative is carried out in partnership with Urbia, a specific purpose company owned by the construction company Construcap, which took over the management of the space and other parks in São Paulo in October 2020. iFood is a partner with Urbia as a sponsor of the “food universe.”

“With these activations, iFood further reinforces its purpose of offering innovative experiences to its customers also outside the app, combining leisure and food”, says João Clark, head of Brand and Trade at iFood.
