São Paulo, June 2024 – The capital of São Paulo is preparing to host the first edition of iFood Move, the biggest meeting for restaurants in Latin America, on September 25th and 26th at São Paulo Expo. This year, the event will feature a special presence: Serena Williams, one of the greatest tennis players of all time and a successful businesswoman, will be one of the highlights as a speaker.
With 23 Grand Slam titles and four Olympic gold medals, Serena Williams has set new standards of excellence and expanded the visibility and appeal of women's tennis worldwide. The more than 800 victories reflect a trajectory marked by consistency at elite levels. Off the court, her advocacy for gender equality and social justice has driven changes in the way female athletes are perceived and treated, reshaping the landscape of women's tennis and sport in general.
Serena was also executive producer of the acclaimed film “King Richard”, which won Will Smith an Oscar for best actor, and also produced the documentary series “In the Arena: Serena Williams”. The tennis player retired from the courts in 2022 and now leads Serena Ventures, an investment company with a million-dollar fund focused on supporting startups, with a special focus on the black community around the world, including Brazil.
At iFood Move, the star will give an inspiring talk about leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation and resilience, aligning his sporting and business experience with the needs of the restaurant sector.

The expectation is to bring together around 10 thousand entrepreneurs and people interested in exchanging experiences and news in the world of app delivery at iFood Move 2024. With more than 60 hours of content distributed across six simultaneous stages, the event will address topics such as entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, trends and consumer experience, growth and the main paths for the future of the sector, including the use of Artificial Intelligence in business.
In addition to Serena Williams, iFood Move will feature a series of lectures and panel discussions with prominent figures such as chefs Rodrigo Oliveira (Restaurante Mocotó) and Janaina Torres (voted best chef in the world in 2024), Jay Livingston, CMO of Shake Shack and experts such as Nathalia Arcuri (Canal Me Poupe) and Luís Justo (CEO of Rock in Rio), among many others, national and international.
Participants will also have access to a business-to-business exchange arena, where they can share experiences with leading industry experts, create connections and obtain information that will support the growth of their ventures. The event, with more than 20 thousand square meters of area, was designed to encourage the continued development of the delivery sector in Brazil.
