iFood for markets

Since 2019, the iFood app has also offered the option to purchase grocery items, pharmacies, drinks and pet products in convenience and ultra-convenience modes — including delivery in 15 minutes.

To meet this demand, in 2023, iFood had more than 60 thousand partner establishments in more than a thousand Brazilian cities.

In the iFood app, consumers can access the environment Market, where all information about the markets registered on the platform is gathered. 

In partnership with the SiteMercado, iFood offers markets online sales and order management, discounts on products and services and greater brand visibility.

How to sell on iFood

To register with iFood you must have your personal documents and company documents on hand. See the step by step: 

  1. Access the website iFood Partners
  2. Choose the plan for your establishment;
  3. Have documents such as food CNAE and CNPJ on hand;
  4. Have a legal bank account with the same CNPJ that will be registered (in the case of MEI, a physical bank account is accepted, as long as the account's CPF is the same as the one linked to the iFood registration);
  5. After filling in the data, the establishment will be directed to sign the contract with iFood;
  6. Finally, the new partners will learn about the work tools and build the menu or portfolio of products that will be presented to the public.

Already the Partner Portal is a tool available for establishments to monitor their performance on the platform. Furthermore, in this virtual environment it is possible to configure the store and menu and use sales boosting tools. 

The prerequisites for selling through iFood are:

  • Have your own couriers (if you choose the basic operating plan); 
  • Serve customers well; 
  • Have stable internet and access to a computer with a Windows system; 
  • Have clear sales potential or volume and deliver ready-to-eat meals or items. 

iFood Support

iFood Support is a service that helps restaurants, markets, delivery people and customers to answer various questions. iFood support is one of the platform's features and can be accessed through the application.

How to contact iFood

To contact iFood, restaurants and establishments must make contact via the app. 

In the case of partner establishments, there are service channels:

  1. via telephone: for less urgent matters;  
  2. via chat: for more urgent matters, which impede the operation of the establishment.
