iFood partner restaurants have already saved 5 million in basic expenses

São Paulo, February 2022 – In order to bring economic solutions to more than 270 thousand partner restaurants, iFood – the largest foodtech in Latin America, has invested in actions that provide savings on basic expenses such as cooking gas, water and energy consumption, packaging, digital platforms . For this purpose, iFood made possible the Chef Advantages, a program directly linked to providing savings on products and services for all registered restaurants. In total, there are more than 35 thousand restaurants that already use the program, totaling 5 million reais in savings in basic expenses last year.

According to Glenda Teixeira, business development manager at iFood, the program emerged as an alternative to the crisis faced by the sector due to the pandemic. “The expectation is that restaurants will be able to save monthly on essential services for their operation.”

The Vantagens do Chef program covers the application's entire partner base in Brazil, with access to more than 40 companies in these different products and services, such as gas, internet, inputs and packaging, accounting, digital marketing, pricing platform, clean energy, courses and others. In the last year alone, the presence of small and medium-sized restaurants grew by 27% on the platform. The public of SME restaurants represents 84% of the more than 270 thousand registered establishments.

“I used the portal to see what benefits I had about two weeks ago. And I joined the FoodCo partnership to access training and lectures. To my surprise, it was very easy to access and the content was of excellent quality – it was very targeted to the reality of my business”, comments Márcio Lira, owner of Original Prime burger's in Salvador Bahia.

This partnership with iFood is important because it helps to remedy price increases in the market, in general”, comments João Previ, from the Haya Falafel Alimentação Vegana restaurant in São Paulo.

“We use the Price-R tool from Vantagens do Chef and it was very important to help our business, because in the past we used Excel. This tool came to meet what we needed, which is to create a technical sheet, place photos and pricing in the app. Now we have a better visualization of price balance, which can generate a profit margin”, comments Fabrício, owner of the Appetita restaurant, in Belo Horizonte MG.
