Sustainability Report shows iFood results

Find out how the company advanced in its education, environmental and social impact actions in fiscal year 2023

iFood released its 2022/2023 Sustainability Report in March, which shows how the company is putting into practice its purpose of feeding the future of the world.

In addition to explaining iFood's model and business fronts, the document presents the results of the company's initiatives in education, environment and social impact in the period from April 2022 to March 2023.

The report shows that, in addition to move 0.53% of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) with its more than 80 million orders per month, iFood has a positive impact on its ecosystem, which encompasses more than 200 thousand delivery men and women and the more than 350 thousand establishments that are on the app — in addition to its more than 5,000 employees.

The impact of iFood on education and the environment

An example of this impact is the investment in education, the main cause of iFood. The company's actions in this area have already benefited 1.1 million young people in

basic education and 350 thousand people who took training courses (such as delivery drivers and restaurants).

Another example is the results in the area of the environment to reduce the generation of plastic waste and reduce emissions of polluting gases during deliveries. In the 2023 fiscal year, iFood had 26% of plastic in deliveries — and 22% of those made by delivery people registered on the app used clean modes.

Initiatives for restaurants, delivery people and employees

The report also presents initiatives in relation to dialogue for the continuous improvement of restaurants and encouraging entrepreneurship, especially in small establishments.

It also lists the results of its dialogue actions with delivery drivers to improve aspects such as earnings, transparency, safety and health care. Another important point are iFood's initiatives to value and respect these professionals.

As for the company's employees, the report explains what the company's culture is like and provides results related to iFood's inclusion and diversity goals, in addition to its Psychological Safety Index, which measures the level of inclusion of people from underrepresented groups.
