iFood opens three support points for delivery people in ABC Paulista

The company has around 760 support spaces across the country, where delivery professionals can take a break between deliveries

São Paulo, March 2024 – iFood, a Brazilian technology company, has just opened three support points for delivery men and women who work through the platform in the ABC Paulista region. iFood's support points are important so that delivery people can have more comfort during stops in their work routine and can drink water, go to the bathroom, charge their cell phones and rest. A microwave and refrigerator are also available in the spaces.

Locations are defined using a coverage metric, taking into account the concentration of orders and the positioning of delivery men and women. As a result, the points are already on the travel route, providing more convenience for delivery professionals. In February, more than 80 thousand delivery people used the support points.

Currently, there are around 760 support points distributed across 14 Brazilian cities. The spaces can be owned by iFood or offered in partnerships with other companies, with restaurants that operate through the platform or even points on the iFood Pedal, in partnership with Tembici.

This support network continues to grow across the country, with more openings planned later this month in Rio de Janeiro, Recife and Porto Alegre. It is possible to locate the points in the iFood app for Deliverers.

The support points are part of the Delivery de Vantagens program, offered free of charge to all delivery men and women registered on the iFood platform, which also provides personal accident insurance, health assistance, access to education projects and discounts on products.

Distribution of kite cutting antennas

On 03/25, next Monday, from 10 am to 12 pm, there will be a free distribution of 120 kite-cut antennas for iFood delivery men and women at the Santo André Support Point, with the aim of raising awareness among professionals about the importance of use of this security item.

The action is a partnership with the Antenados Project, covered by the iFood Chega Junto Public Notice, which financed actions created by the delivery drivers themselves.
