At regional meetings, iFood listens to demands from delivery people

Three first events were held in Recife, Fortaleza and Ribeirão Preto, to understand the day-to-day needs in each region

Putting your commitment to actively listening to the demands of delivery men and women across the country, iFood carried out, between April and May 2022, three important regional meetings to dialogue with partners about how to improve work on a daily basis and in the context of different cities.

Along the way, the first city to host a regional meeting was Recife (PE), one of the most important places for iFood in the Northeast. The event “Voice of the Deliverers: Listen to Recife”, held on April 13th, brought together 15 delivery drivers, selected based on the criteria: length of partnership with the platform, delivery evaluation and diversity.

“The realization of 'Voz dos Entregadors: Escuta Recife' is very important, as it reflects our concern in listening to national demands while looking with care at the local reality of our partners”, says Alexandre Martinez, logistics manager at iFood .

The second stop in the Northeast region was in Fortaleza (CE), for the meeting “Voice of the Deliverers: Listen to Fortaleza”. On May 20th, 40 delivery drivers met with iFood representatives to talk about their main needs to do a good job.

In addition to exchanging information directly with the delivery drivers, iFood was able to understand, at this meeting, what the specific demands of the region are — which will not always be the same as those found in other parts of the country.

First meeting inside

To conclude this first round, on May 23rd, iFood promoted the meeting “Voice of the Deliverers: Listen to Ribeirão Preto”. It was the first time that the initiative took place outside a capital. “We chose Ribeirão because it is very important in the interior of São Paulo”, adds Alexandre.

This regional meeting was attended by 20 delivery drivers, who also came to talk about how it is possible to improve their daily lives in partnership with foodtech.

“We are starting a series of meetings so that delivery partners in all corners of the country can be heard. All this information will help us build solutions towards our objective: to be the best platform for delivery people”, says Alexandre.

From these meetings with delivery drivers of different profiles, in different locations, iFood takes different points of view to understand what is most important to partners and which actions should be a priority. “We want to build solutions and improvements in partnership with everyone”, concludes Alexandre. “The more we talk, the more we have input for continuous improvement.”
