Delivery man shows how to use free health service plan

Agnaldo explains how to make appointments and answers questions from colleagues in the fifth video of the “Abrindo a Bag” series

Delivery men and women registered on the iFood platform have coverage of one free health benefits plan offered in partnership with AVUS. With this, they can have face-to-face and telemedicine consultations at reduced prices and receive a discount of up to 80% when purchasing medicines without paying a membership fee or monthly fee.

This information It's on the delivery app —that's how one of these partners, Agnaldo, 45 years old, found out and decided to join. “I did it quickly: I entered the avus.com.br/ifood and I registered. You can add a dependent too”, he explains to his colleagues at fifth video in the series “Opening the Bag”, by Much More Than a Request campaign, which you can watch on company channel on YouTube and on its digital platforms.

Like Agnaldo, more than 53 thousand delivery people on the iFood platform have already registered to have access to consultations and exams carried out in laboratories, medical and dental clinics in the network at affordable prices. Each of them can include a dependent (with or without family ties), and today more than 35 thousand have already been registered.

For those who are part of the plan, medical consultations cost from R$ 19.90. Users also have access to a 24-hour telemedicine service, where they can speak to a general practitioner via video, message or telephone (the consultation, in this modality, costs R$ 9.90). “For me it was much better, because today I have support, at any time, if I need a doctor quickly”, says Agnaldo.

Colleagues then ask how appointments are scheduled. “You can schedule your appointment via the website or app. You choose your neighborhood and the address [of the health professional's office] and the cost of the consultation will appear”, explains the delivery man. “You choose a specialty and after an hour or two they call and send a message to confirm the appointment.”

The iFood + AVUS plan also gives discounts on dental consultations and procedures, laboratory and imaging tests and sessions with psychologists and psychiatrists (in person or online).

When he used the Avus plan for the first time, Agnaldo confesses that he was expecting a “hi and bye” consultation — but he was surprised. “I really liked the doctor, he was very attentive. I've had a consultation like this: I was on a motorbike, I stopped, I told the doctor that I was on the street working. He asks what’s wrong with you, there’s no rush”, he praises.

The delivery man also approved the speed of service. “Today, at any time, whether it's day, night or I'm on the street, simply [if I'm] on my cell phone I can consult myself,” he comments.
