The supply of rest spaces grows by more than 2000% in 2021 with the help of partners

In 2021, the number of support points offered to iFood delivery partners jumped from 60 to 1,304 across the country — an increase of 2.072% in the year. These spaces are used for professionals to take a break to go to the bathroom, drink water, and recharge their cell phones.

With this growth, the ecosystem currently has 1,294 support points in restaurants, 4 points in partnership with Orla Rio, 4 private partnerships and 3 support points in partnership with gas stations.

“Our goal was to end the year with 1,200 support points throughout Brazil. Not only did we reach the goal, we managed to expand the models created for this initiative with two more partnerships signed at the municipal level, for example”, explains iFood's public policy manager, Felipe Daud.

Currently, points are available in the cities of São Paulo, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Campinas, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Goiânia, João Pessoa, Recife, Salvador, Santo André, São Bernardo do Campo and São Caetano do Sul. Estimate In 2021, 160,791 delivery partners benefited from the program.

There is also an advantage for establishments that became partners in offering support points: in 2021, they received R$ 2.9 million in benefits at iFood Shop for being part of the project.
