iFood launches exclusive electric motorcycle with lower price for delivery people

Company promises average savings of 70% in vehicle maintenance and running-in costs

iFood announced the official launch of its first Electric motorcycle, EVS Work iFood, aimed at delivery drivers in Brazil. Thus, the company promises average savings of 70% to partners and also a less polluting solution for the environment.

A partnership between iFood and the motorcycle manufacturer allowed delivery drivers to receive a lower price than the market price: R$ 9,999.90.

The electric motorcycle will have a two-year warranty and should travel 100 to 180 kilometers with two batteries, reaching up to 85 km/h. Furthermore, the sustainable proposal will be continually improved to expand to other cities, according to the company.

There are two big advantages when purchasing an iFood electric motorcycle. The first for the environment, and the second financial. 

  • Environment: Because it is powered by electricity, the sustainable vehicle is expected to stop emitting more than 30 thousand tons of CO2 into the atmosphere per year. 
  • Financial: In addition to discounts, delivery drivers who purchase the iFood electric motorcycle will save significantly on the vehicle. Therefore, with fuel and maintenance, the expectation is a reduction of 70% in expenses.

First of all, it is important to highlight that delivery partners have discounts and special conditions for purchasing the iFood electric motorcycle. 

The purchase of the vehicle can be done through Voltz website, however, the delivery person must be registered on the platform for at least 3 months.
