São Paulo, November 9, 2021 – iFood carries out an unprecedented campaign for delivery partners in reference to Blue November, the month to combat prostate cancer. The initiative, aimed at all delivery drivers registered and active on the iFood platform, will offer 2,000 free telemedicine consultations with a general practitioner throughout the month of November. The action is carried out in partnership with Avus, through which couriers have access to health benefits free of charge, with the right to consultations and medicines at more affordable costs.

Avus can be accessed through the Delivery de Vantagens program link, an exclusive benefits club within the iFood app for Delivery People. After receiving the communication through the app, which will start this week, delivery people in the squares of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Porto Alegre and Salvador will be able to schedule the appointment via telemedicine. The action seeks to encourage self-care and prevention, focusing on the health and well-being of delivery partners. In October, the same was done with the delivery partners, including a statement from a participant: https://news.ifood.com.br/outubro-rosa-como-detectar-o-cancer-de-mama-logo-no-inicio/

Prevention

Prostate cancer is the most common type among men and causes the death of 28.6% of the male population. According to the National Cancer Institute, 65,840 new cases are expected in Brazil this year alone. To raise awareness about this and other health problems, the Brazilian Society of Urology (SBU) brought the theme “Health Is Also Men's Talk”, inviting all men to become aware of the care necessary to maintain a good quality of life.
