A self-respecting Carnival must have a great musical success. Especially when it comes to summer this year, which marks the definitive return of revelers to the streets. As 32 block sponsor from São Paulo, Salvador and Rio, iFood then gains a reinforcement that is well-tuned for the occasion: a hit performed by Carlinhos Brown.
The composer and multi-instrumentalist from Bahia teamed up with publicist Nizan Guanaes, also born in Bahia, to produce “Tá de Rango”. The song is available on Spotify and also on the iFood pages on TikTok and Instagram, and will be played by the main carnival groups in Salvador, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
The action is part of the iFood support for summer 2023 revelry. The company takes advantage of the date to reinforce its Brazilianness with sponsorship of street blocks and promotions and experiences through the app, always linked to the carnival period.
Ana Gabriela Lopes, iFood's marketing director, reinforces that the choice of Carlinhos Brown, “Brazilian, cheerful and a card-carrying reveler”, “has everything to do with the roots of iFood, a technology company created in Brazil”.
Choreography challenge
In turn, the composer and multi-instrumentalist emphasizes that he is “very happy to be together with iFood, to bring joy to millions of Brazilians during the most important cultural festival in the country”.
The hit “Tá de Rango” arrives accompanied by a challenge that iFood launched on social media. People are invited to create their own choreographies to dance to the music of Carlinhos Brown.
The challenge will be led by two teams: “Team Não sou Obrigada”, led by Pocah, and “Team Cria”, led by Matheus Costa. They will invite great influencers and artists, such as Ivete Sangalo and Bell Marques, to get involved in creating dances for TikTok in the spirit of “Tá de Rango”.
