How to order grocery delivery on the iFood app

It's not just food that you can buy at iFood app: Customers can order delivery from the market and also receive drinks, pharmacy items and even products for pets and from some stores at home. 

Placing a grocery order on iFood is simple. Below, our CX (Customer Experience) team shows you how to make this purchase, step by step.

Step by step: market delivery

Step 1: Download the app

Download the iFood app on your smartphone or access the official iFood website on your browser and log in to your iFood account (create a new account if you don't already have one).

Step 2: Find the Market

Open the app and select the “Markets” option in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Search for the product

Now, you will have two options: search for products individually or browse the available categories. You can use the search bar to find specific products by typing the name of the item you want.

Step 4: Check the information

When you find a product you want to buy, click on it to see additional details such as price, description and brand.

Step 5: Choose to purchase

Select the desired quantity of the product and add it to the shopping cart by clicking the “Add” button. Repeat this process to add all the products you want to buy.

Step 6: Check your bag

Click “View Bag” and check your shopping cart to ensure all products are correct. Here you can also adjust the quantities. If everything is ok, click “Continue”.

Step 7: Give your address

Select your desired delivery address or add a new address if necessary. Make sure you provide all the correct information (such as apartment number, landmark) and click “Continue”.

Step 8: Make payment

Choose your preferred payment method. iFood has several payment options.

Step 9: Check if the order is OK

Review all details of your order, including products, shipping address and payment method. Make sure everything is correct.

Step 10: Confirm the order

Click on “Confirm order” or “Place order” to complete the purchase.

After following these steps, your grocery order will be processed and delivered to the address provided within the estimated time frame. You can also track the order status on the iFood app or website.
