Discover what Brazilians’ favorite dishes are for delivery
Among the more than 60 million orders that iFood delivers per month, which food was the favorite food among Brazilians this year? In 2021, the menu was varied: from burgers to temaki, Thai food The pizzas with unusual flavors, complete with cake, açaí — and even coffee and bakery bread.
Looking back at 2021, we see that in March the number of requests for healthy meals on iFood (such as salad, pokes and açaí) doubled compared to the same month in 2020 — in São Paulo alone, the increase reached 130%. In the same month, the preference for Japanese food also doubled, with orders growing by 106% compared to 2020.
The more traditional ones stayed with the Italian food, which in the first half of 2021 saw a 61% increase in orders, especially for pasta and risotto. And those who like new flavors went to food mexican, indian, Arabic…
But the overwhelming favorite continues to be… the burger! From January to November 2021, there were more than 100 million orders across the country, which works out to around 4 burgers per second.
