iFood launches special web series about artificial intelligence

In six episodes, company executives talk about the development and future of this technology

As a Brazilian technology company, iFood wants to share its knowledge about artificial intelligence —and inspire more companies to embark on this universe.

Therefore, the company launches today (July 3) a six-episode web series on the topic. This content is available on YouTube. In these episodes, company executives will reveal the behind-the-scenes development of artificial intelligence in the world and at iFood.

Anyone who follows the web series will find out, for example, what the new products that iFood is launching and that use artificial intelligence to benefit customers, delivery people and restaurants — and how company employees use AI in their work.

In the first episode, Fabricio Bloisi, CEO of iFood, and Diego Barreto, vice president of Finance and Strategy at the company, bring examples of how generative artificial intelligence has been revolutionizing computer programming and what is the impact of these transformations on iFood's business.

“iFood has invested a lot in artificial intelligence for several years, it hasn’t started now”, reinforces Fabricio. “Since 2018, we have concluded that the future of technology companies will be those that use AI very well.”

How iFood uses AI

Diego talks about how these technological possibilities are being worked on internally in the routine of iFood employees and what these advances also mean for the company's customers and partners.

“Today, the productivity of people here, to create content in marketing and communication, is gaining much greater speed”, he points out. “Outside, we are taking the same logic of these models to the consumer, in a series of products.”

“Thus, artificial intelligence allows us to dream more and more about the ability to attract greater traffic to iFood, which will generate much more sales for small and medium-sized restaurants and, as a consequence, much more income for delivery people. ”, he adds.

In the next episodes, you will find out how AI has evolved over the years, which iFood products use AI, how this technology changes the world of work and our ethics and what is the vision of iFood's CEO, Fabricio Bloisi, on the future of AI.
