Restaurant Forum: iFood promotes active listening to partners

Find out what these monthly approach meetings are like with restaurant owners to offer improvements to the app

Registration is now open to form the third group that will participate in the Restaurant Forum. Promoted by iFood since 2022, the program is ongoing and promotes meetings with entrepreneurs to hear from them about how to improve their experience on the platform.

Each year, the group is renewed, so that other partner stores have the opportunity to participate.

“The Forum is one of the initiatives that supports our objective of getting closer to restaurant owners”, says Beatriz Pentagna, marketing director for restaurants at iFood. “Active listening is essential to help us prioritize and bring ideas about how to make improvements from the point of view of partner businesses.”

What is the Restaurant Forum like?

In this meeting format, 20 owners of small, medium or large restaurants, with profiles representative of more than 330 thousand partners across the country, meet with iFood leaders in moments of listening and collaboration — the same Entrepreneurs participate in all meetings.

“We work on the priority themes of the Continuous Improvement Agenda in a collaborative construction. Partner stores bring the needs of the operation and collaborate with real insights from those who experience delivery on a daily basis. We take the suggestions to the responsible teams at iFood, the teams evaluate the possibilities and return a schedule for implementing the changes”, explains Beatriz.

Active listening results

At the last event, held in February, participants collaborated on the evolution of the platforms' main screen, adjusted delivery and preparation times to improve accuracy and operational efficiency, and explored issues related to chat with customers.

And iFood shared what it is doing to reduce cancellations and how it is optimizing the Menu to simplify its day-to-day management.

The Restaurant Forum has also yielded positive results for iFood. “Innovation is part of our culture. Putting users at the center of decisions helps us build relevant solutions. This way, we get things right more quickly and build a relationship of trust with our partners”, says Beatriz.

And the meetings continue: The Restaurant Forum is a 12-month program, and at each new meeting, iFood shows what was done in relation to the demands discussed at the previous event.
