Datafolha: iFood is voted best food delivery app

Datafolha shows that iFood is the favorite brand in online restaurant delivery, especially among young people; Check the search results.

Preference is even greater among young people aged 16 to 25; brand is also one of the favorites in the Southeast region

When ordering food, iFood is the favorite brand of Brazilians, especially younger people, points out Datafolha. Six out of ten people aged 16 to 25 (62%) said that the app is the best restaurant delivery. Furthermore, young people also consider iFood to be the best service on the internet. 

Among the general public, of all ages, iFood was also mentioned by 42% of people interviewed by Datafolhas the preferred online restaurant delivery service. The search sseeks to understand the behavior of Brazilians in online life and are your favorite brands on digital. 

In Brazil, generation Z (people born between 1996 and 2010) comprises more than 32 million young people and is the first digital native with purchasing power. Therefore, it is highly disputed between brands. 

iFood has been building a relationship with this audience for some time, especially among gamers. In May 2022, the company announced its first sponsorship in the eSports universe (official electronic game competitions) by supporting Fluxo, an organization created by two of Free Fire's biggest stars, Nobru and Cerol. 

According to an article published in Folha de S.Paulo, the app brings together attributes valued by this generation, including the pleasure of eating something delicious with friends.

“The first step to supporting the consumer, in addition to constant updates to the application with a focus on always bringing a better experience to the user, is supporting the platform's entrepreneurs in the digital transformation process”, explains the marketing director of the iFood, João Clark.

The research was carried out with 1,500 Brazilians aged 16 or over, from all social classes and regions of Brazil and who access the internet every day. The survey, carried out between March 21 and 28, 2022, has a margin of error of three percentage points and a reliability of 95%. 

The most remembered brand in the Southeast

In addition to the minds and hearts of generation Z, iFood was remembered as one of the favorite brands of Brazilians living in the Southeast, sharing first place with the operator Vivo. 

Despite its national presence, a large part of iFood's audience lives in the region that concentrates 42% of the Brazilian population (80.3 million people, according to the 2010 Census). Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, the newspaper points out, are the largest squares in the foodtech and little by little they are gaining more services than the convenience of taking food from a restaurant or buying food from the market home. 

At the last summer in Rio, for example, whoever was enjoying a beach in the South Zone of the city (from Leme to Leblon) didn't need to leave the beach and cross the city to buy something from the pharmacy or eat something from their favorite restaurant or bar. All you had to do was order on iFood and pick up the order at a marked kiosk. 

In São Paulo, last September the company promoted the iFood Space, a gastronomic experience inside Ibirapuera Park. Six partner restaurants were there to feed the hunger of those visiting the main postcard of the capital of São Paulo.
