iFood offers five thousand technology scholarships

The Java Beginners Bootcamp is free and teaches programming for beginners; find out how to sign up

Celebrating the first anniversary of Tech Power, iFood and DIO they are offering five thousand scholarships to anyone interested in learning to program. The vacancies are for the Java Beginners Bootcamp, which aims to train and prepare students for the technology market, without having to pay anything for it.

There are 86 hours of classes, code challenges and practical projects — all aimed at basic knowledge of Java, one of the most used programming languages in the job market today.

Registration is open via Tech Power, and will run until October 23rd. However, the deadline to complete the course is November 27th: therefore, it is worth signing up in advance to have more time to complete the trail.

Whoever graduates from boot camp you can register at Talent Match, a DIO platform that works as a talent pool, connecting technology professionals and partner companies that have vacancies available. Thus, anyone who completes the trail has the opportunity to get a job within the course system itself.

The five thousand scholarships are aimed at anyone over 18 years of age who wants to start studying technology, with a focus on underrepresented and low-income groups.

The content of boot camp is divided between the following modules and contents:

• Software Development Principles

• Starting to Program in Java

• Mastering Java

• Introduction to Spring Framework

• Strengthening your Professional Career

This is one of iFood initiatives to promote education, aligned with the objective of, by 2025, training more than 25 million people from underrepresented and low-income populations in technology. Other opportunities in this area are also available at Potência Tech.
