iFood and Security Support Funds
Deliverers from risk groups receive assistance from the Protection Fund corresponding to double their historical earnings to stay at home. So far, 608 couriers have benefited from the fund, for a total of R$ 672,807.97.
Deliveries with symptoms of the disease receive from the Solidarity Fund the equivalent of 28 days of their historical earnings so that they can stay at home and receive treatment.
Life insurance worth R$ 20 thousand assists families in the event of a fatality due to Covid-19. iFood offers another R$ 20 thousand.
iFood + AVUS
Health Advantage Plan which offers you and your family benefits such as:
- Medical consultations from R$ 19.90.
- Telemedicine consultations for R$ 9.90.
- Discounts on laboratory tests and up to 80% on medicines.
ATTENTION: O flat it is free. In other words, there is no monthly fee, just the consultations and exams you carry out.
Protection Kits
We promote the distribution of protection kits with masks and alcohol gel.
We distributed more than 410,576 kits, totaling more than 2 million personal protection items between April 1st and July 15th to delivery drivers active during the quarantine, each of whom received a set of 4 reusable masks and 500 ml of alcohol gel.
iFood even developed specific logistics for removing these materials, in order to avoid crowds and not reduce the earnings of delivery people, who receive a notice as if it were an order and are paid for the movement. The entire partner base was informed about the action.
For those who did not collect the kit, iFood passes on R$ 30 so that the delivery person can purchase the items themselves, according to their convenience and needs.

iFood Sanitizing Stations
Two hygiene stations are already in operation, installed in São Paulo. In them, iFood provides delivery people with cleaning materials to sanitize backpacks, thermal trunks, helmets and jackets. In addition, our partners will find a sanitizing tunnel for motorcycles and bicycles at these points. The idea is to spread similar stations throughout Brazil.
