iFood shakes up blocks and boxes at the 2024 carnival

The company is the official sponsor of the street carnival in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, and will be next to the main blocks of the capital of São Paulo

São Paulo, January 2024 – One of the most anticipated times for Brazilians is approaching: Carnival. And iFood, Brazilian company of technology, will once again be alongside the revelers and carnival joy with the official sponsorship of the street carnival in Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, in addition to being together with several blocks in São Paulo, which total 26 iconic collectives.

Furthermore, the company presents the traditional Express Box 2222, in the capital of Bahia. To ensure that revelers enjoy this important and significant cultural moment for Brazilians, the company developed a series of exclusive experiences and gifts for the date.

“iFood is a Brazilian company and we remain strong in our mission of being close to Brazilians in the most iconic moments that celebrate national culture. This year, with the sponsorship of carnivals in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, street blocks in São Paulo and also the traditional Camarote Expresso 2222, we will encourage the use of delivery before and after the festivities, as we know that iFood delivers convenience and good food at affordable prices”, says Ana Gabriela Lopes, marketing director at iFood. “The joy and energy during Carnival are our great allies to generate connections and show that the iFood is Brazilian, Good and Cheap, just like Carnival”.

With sponsorships, iFood solidifies its brand presence, bringing joy to revelers while supporting the creative economy around Carnival. “We understand that this type of investment contributes and impacts substantially on the local economy, encouraging entrepreneurship, culture and the arts”, adds the executive.

To reinforce the connection with the public, iFood is sponsoring the carnival in the cities of Salvador and Rio de Janeiro, which take place between the 3rd and 18th of February. Among SSA's iconic collectives are Crocodilo: Daniela Mercury, Coruja: Ivete Sangalo, Camaleão/Vumbora: Bell Marques, Cortejo Afro, Carlinhos Brown, Ilê Aiyê, Filhos de Gandhy and Bloco do Alok. In Rio de Janeiro, the blocks Chá da Rainha with Daniela Mercury, Bloco da Preta and Carnavoz will be sponsored, which aims to take carnival to Complexo do Alemão.

And last but not least, the street blocks of São Paulo, namely Casa Comigo, Baixo Augusta, Bloco da Pabllo, Bicho Maluco Beleza with Alceu Valença, Estado de Folia with Chico César, Pipoca da Rainha with Daniela Mercury , Monobloco, Maria Rita, Navio Pirata, Bloco do Abrava and Bloco da Latinha Mix with Alok.

During the period and in all squares, the company will distribute the brand's favorite visors to revelers and, to cheer up the party, the jingle that enchanted carnival-goers last year, the “Tá de Rango” in the voice of the very Brazilian Carlinhos Brown.

iFood at Camarote Expresso 2222

Salvador's carnival is one of the most traditional and famous in Brazil. With the sponsorship of the city's carnival, iconic street blocks and the share of Camarote Expresso 2222, the company intends to celebrate culture, its Brazilian roots and stimulate the national creative economy, generating income and providing visibility for small and medium-sized companies, strengthening the local economy as a whole.

This will be the second time that the company will be present in such a traditional space of Bahian culture after its debut in 2023. But, unlike the first moment, this year the crowd's favorite app is betting on an even stronger presence in Camarote with interactions with artists, set design and other brand activations.
