iFood receives donations for rain victims in Rio

Anyone can use the app to donate; The amount raised will be donated to food and essential products for families

iFood joins forces with organizations that are helping victims of flooding caused by rain in Rio de Janeiro and Baixada Fluminense.

Alongside four of its partner NGOs —CUFA, Citizenship Action, The Gastromotiva It is Voice of Communities —, the company launches a donation campaign on the app for people affected by the strong storms in the state.

Anyone who wants to help can make a donation through the iFood app. All proceeds will be donated to NGOs. The resources will be used to offer food, hygiene and cleaning materials, among other essential products to families affected by the rain in Rio.

“We are very concerned about the situation of families affected by the floods in Rio de Janeiro. iFood is a partner that always supports us in emergency actions. This campaign is a way for us, at CUFA, and all Brazilians, to help these people who are going through such a difficult time”, says Wellington Galdino, executive director of CUFA.
